Become an Allergy-Immunology ABMS Scholar
The American Board of Allergy and Immunology is a new sponsor for the American Board of Medical Specialties Visiting Scholars Program. We encourage diplomates with an interest in specialty specific competency based medical education, certification outcomes, entrustable professional activities and other assessments to apply for this unique mentored research opportunity dedicated to the specialty of allergy and immunology.
The application deadline is 11:59 PM (CT) on June 17
Over the last 10 years, more than 65 scholars have taken part in the ABMS Visiting Scholars Program™
Some Visiting Scholars have focused on medical education, for example: competency-based medical education (CBME) and Entrustable Professional Activities. Others examined the certification process: assessing professionalism and professional conduct as well as the predictive validity of certification examinations. Scholars also were interested in quality improvement and engaging physicians in lifelong learning and self-assessment.
The program is a great way to gain external funding that can be applied to an existing research grant that supports a similar research focus area.
