FORMER ABAI DIRECTORS DR. ANNA NOWAK-WEGRZYN AND DR. LEONARD BACHARIER SELECTED FOR NEW LEADERSHIP POSITIONS

Dr. Anna Nowak-Wegrzyn is the immediate past ABAI Chair of the Board of Directors completing an extraordinary term in December 2022. Given her extraordinary leadership, selfless service and desire to continue to contribute, Dr. Nowak-Wegrzyn was nominated for and recently selected as the ABAI Representative of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) Committee on Continuing Certification (3C). Dr. Len Bacharier completes an equally extraordinary term as the ABAI representative to 3C. During his term, 3C navigated the implementation of Vision Commission standards for continuing certification and the launch of longitudinal assessment programs for all 24 member boards.
ABAI is also pleased to announce that Dr. Bacharier can’t quite get away from ABAI either, after his distinguished service as the ABMS 3C representative and on the ABAI Board of Directors. He was recently appointed as the incoming inaugural vice-chair of the ABAI Test Writing Committee where he will assist Dr. Freeman, TWC Chair, and the Board at large with special assignments.
