Self nomination for Public Member

The ABAI is requesting self-nominations for a Public Member to serve on our board of directors.

ABAI Public Member Criteria

Individuals who wish to apply for the ABAI Public Member position must meet the following criteria:

• Willing to abide by all ABAI policies
• Public member is required to serve one term (3 years), with the option to renew for one additional term (3 years).

Candidates applying to serve on the ABAI board of directors must be willing to do the following:

• Read and acknowledge the Non-Disclosure Agreement
• Abide by the ABAI Conflict of Interest Policy
• Abide by the ABAI Speaking Engagement Guidelines

Public Member areas of expertise of particular interest include finance, health system governance, artificial intelligence, health care legislation, and patient advocacy.

Potential nominees should send their willingness to serve letter, application, CV and three recommendation letters to ssalemi@abai.org.

The self-nomination period will close on August 17, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. EDT.
