Katie Hanrahan, MS, MEd, has a decade of professional experience in the assessment industry, specializing in psychometrics for licensure and certification assessments.

For the past seven years, she has provided consultative psychometric services to multiple professional organizations while employed at Data Recognition Corporation (DRC), including several American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) member boards and specialty dental boards, for their certification and continuing certification programs. Ms. Hanrahan’s professional expertise and areas of interest include longitudinal assessments, multi-facet Rasch analysis, analytical modeling, alternative assessments, and database management. Prior to working in assessment, Ms. Hanrahan had a successful career as a financial engineer in the financial derivatives industry.
At the ABAI, Ms. Hanrahan will serve as the Director of Psychometrics. In this role, she will work closely with the Board of Directors and Test Development team and function as a strategic leader for all psychometric services within the ABAI, including assessment design and analyses, database management, form assembly, scoring and reporting, and exam security.
Ms. Hanrahan holds a Master of Science (MS) in Mathematics with a focus in Applied Statistics from Loyola University Chicago, and a Master of Education (MEd) in Measurement, Evaluation, Statistics, and Assessment from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
