Verification of Certificate
ABAI issues written verification of the certification status of an allergist/immunologist for a processing fee of $75 per name, payable via credit card. Status will be confined to active candidate, inactive candidate, certified, or not certified. Verification is also available online or by calling (866) ASK-ABMS. The ABAI will routinely report certification status of candidates through its website or by mail. Official verification can only be guaranteed by the ABAI.

Based on ABMS recommended policy, the ABAI does not issue statements of or implying "Board Eligibility" for any reason. Nor does the ABAI use, define or recognize the term "Board Eligible". Medical specialty certification is a process of advancement through several individual steps including examination. The completion of one step, such as the minimal educational requirements, should not imply that a candidate is now possessed of some special qualification which is more or less equivalent to certification.
